Programming Specialist - Associate
Member of the Enterprise Test and Evaluation (T&E) Team responsible for providing JITC and Department of Defense (DoD) with automation support for testing enterprise services, primarily Enterprise Resource Planning (ERA), business systems.
Works closely with customers to document current operating procedures and support their projected operational needs.
May serve as an expert in aspects of software design, development, and maintenance and will support multiple development teams and systems.
Ensures projects are completed on time.
Assists in developing and writing end-of-test event reports and documentation.
Responsible for:
oUsing programming skills to create/modify/update/document MicroFocus LoadRunner Enterprise (LRE) scripts supporting automated testing.
oUsing MicroFocus LoadRunner Enterprise (LRE) automated test tools to perform testing of enterprise systems.
oFollowing Agile Scrum practices.
oPlanning, executing, data collecting, analyzing, and reporting to evaluate and report on the Enterprise services system under test (SUT), and research and development for enterprise testing efforts.
oTaking periodic mandatory training courses provided through the agency, required by statute, regulation, DoD, or DISA policy.
oDeveloping, supporting, and integrating best practices and technology standards.
oRequires an Associate's degree; a minimum of 60 semester hours of formal education working towards an Associate's or Bachelor's degree and at least 4 years of experience; or at least 6 years of experience is required.
Related certifications in specialization may be substituted for 1 year of experience.
The degree must be in a relevant technical curriculum such as Computer Science, Information Management or other related field and experience must be related to the job duties.
oAnalytical and critical thinking skills.
oQuality oral and written communication skills.
oSecret clearance or the ability to get a Secret clearance.
oRequires agility and flexibility to quickly learn and become proficient in the use of new software applications and tools.
oMust be able to assist in defining new customer requirements, identifying risks, and managing time effectively to meet those requirements.
oMust have coordination and planning skills to work alone on a task or as part of a team.
oMust be able to understand and develop basic programs/scripts in Java, C, JavaScript, VB script or other programing languages.
oMust have practical and working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
Preferred:
oAbility to read and analyze network traffic.
oProficient with MicroFocus/OpenText LoadRunner Enterprise (LRE).
oKnowledge of Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) certificate authentication.
oFamiliarity with Enterprise Security such as McAfee Endpoint Security.
oAbility to diagnose issues related to communications and enterprise security measures.
