Nurse Practitioner - Sierra Vista Community Based Oupatient Clinic
As a Nurse Practitioner with the Southern Arizona VA Health Care System at our Community Based Outpatient Clinic in Sierra Vista, Arizona, you will perform the following duties:
Provide comprehensive primary care for a patient panel with multi-disciplinary needs in a team based, medical home model.
Deliver healthcare independently and within the scope of practice.
Assess patients for medical, physical, and psychosocial status.
Perform and document physical exams.
Order and interpret labs and radiological procedures.
Implement a plan of care; evaluate and modify care as needed.
Consult with collaborating physicians.
Maintain strong, therapeutic relationships with patients and demonstrate excellent customer service skills.
Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team and accept direction from supervisory personnel.
Document patient care in a computerized patient record system in accordance with policy and standards of practice.
Develop and participate in quality monitors to assess patient care quality.
Recognize and manage emergency situations appropriately.
Promote professional growth, excellence in nursing care, professional involvement and participate in development of staff and students.
Preferred
Experience:
Two (2) years of Nurse Practitioner experience managing acute and chronic primary care needs.
Tour of Duty:
Monday through Friday, 8:
00 AM to 4:
30 PM.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
